  • After not fighting for almost a year and half Lomachenko took around eight rounds to warm up. to me he just looked like he was full of ring rust for the first half of the fight. and even in the later part of the fight he just didn't look like he was on his game. I am not sure how much to credit Lopez for what happened. did Lopez take Loma out of his game. or was Loma just not himself after to long of a layoff. or is he losing his edge because of his age. it will be interesting to see how he comes back from this.

  • Max's comparing Loma to Hagler is all futile n so very vain. Hagler dominated the middle weight like no other fighters until now. N some experts believe he won the fight vs Leonard by slight margin for his relentless slugging n rains of huge bombs till the last round. Leonard didn't even dare to give Hearn a rematch fearing the ferocity of Mr, Marvelous. Loma n Hagler? No close comparison at all.

    Rusda YatiRusda Yati5 dagen geleden
  • No body talks about how Teo beats Loma's strategy : Let Lopez takes the earlier 7 rounds n clobbers him to extreme in the last 5 rounds till he quits on the stool. Lopez takes the bait but doesnt push all out to win by ko. He stays busy n lets his punches go economically to win each round by some slight margin. And when Loma unleashes his avalanche, Teo fights back n wards off the onslaught n remain competitive in the fight. The 12th round tells the decisive moment of the fight, when he unleashes some huge body shots to discourage Loma coming at his will. Loma matrixed strategies fail embarrassingly.

  • I used to feel bad for Max Kellerman when all the basketball pundits bashed him for just talking about basketball as a non-expert on the sport but after watching this and previous things like Stephen A covering UFC events, I 100% agree with those critics now. If you’re not an expert in the field, you should not talk about it as if you knew even the basics when you don’t. That’s why shows like this are just nothing but blabbering useless content with no real analysis and just debate and banter for the same of entertainment

  • Dude when you have a guy perform the way Teofilo López did, without the money, the tv contracts, the spot lights, the PPV, the prime time, in the middle of a pandemic, with no live audience etc and he still goes and champions and schools the lbxlb champion you have a real hero. A real CHAMPION. ¡Teofilo López! ¡Viva México¡ 🇲🇽

  • Loma underestimated Teofimo speed and gas tank. Loma sat back too long expecting Teo to make a mistake rather than forcing a mistake by throwing his hands. Teo came for war and Loma thought he was going to out smart him and gas him out

  • How can you/ anyone compare Lomo to the GREAT boxers of our pass? Come on man!!!! This is so ridiculous!!!! The greatest boxer's of our pass ( Ali, Hagler, Sugar Ray, Frasier, Forman, Tyson, Holyfield etc...) had many straight out Wars in the boxing ring and Won significant Championships that solidified them into the Boxing Hall of Fame and that gave them the Rank of The Best Pound for Pound. Lomo is a very Good fighter with a high fighting I.Q. but that doesn't make him the best (and probably a great fighter in time though, which he doesn't have). So people please let's stop comparing him to the great one's of the game. HE'S NOT!!!!!!! Lopez showed that if you NEUTRALIZE Lomo's footwork he's not as a big of a treat as we thought he was. Big and much RESPECT to Teophimo. He did an outstanding job of taking the Belt and becoming the Unified Champion!!!! PERIOD!!!! Let's see what Teo can do from here... Remember 400 amateur fights don't make you a great Professional Fighter!!!! Facts!!!!

  • Lopez is a huge light weight. Look at the difference in their foot size alone. One man is small for his weight and the other one is big for his weight. We'll see how good Lopez is when he moves up a weight division or two. I'm not knocking his skill but if he really wants to be a great champion he should stay at lightweight and fight for a few years like Duran.

  • Loma did not win 8-11. They were close and lopez was moving forward and making the fight most of the round. Then there were questionable tactics committed by loma. Judges can deduct without the referee's command. I think a 10 point margin is extreme. More like 5-6 margin including deductions.

  • Why aren't we talking about the 4 dirty headbuts from Loma? They should've taken at least 1 point. So the rounds he supposedly he won werent technical they were dirty.

  • 400 amateurs and 2 gold medals ... at what weight did Lomachenko win gold ??? Lightweight is only 3 pounds above his amateur and professional Olympic gold medals. Lomachenko was 24 years old fighting against teenage boys during his last run at the gold medal . I'm tired of these fake boxing fan commentors telling us that Lomachenko won rounds 7,8,9,and 2 ! Teofimo dominated every round except 11 and none of them even tell you why they thought to give Lomachenko round 2 except that Joe Tesator tried calling the round for Lomachenko in order to fake an even score at the time

  • Boxing needs Loma more than Teofimo. Lomas style is never seen before, it is new; we dont "need" another physically gifted boxer. Loma is not physically gifted, he won his fights with pure skill and intelligence - the story of Loma is that anyone could become as good as him, with the right training and dedication. That is something unique, that is something that enriches the landscape of boxing. Congratulations to Teofimo on the deserved win of a close battle. But boxing needs Loma more than Teo.

  • I 100 percent agree with Max. Rounds 1, 3-6, and 12 Lopez won hands down. Round 8-11 Loma won hands down and 2 and 7 could go either way. So anywhere from 6-6 to 8-4 woulda been acceptable. I rewatched the fight and could no way see how the female judge came up with 11-1.
