I’m English & never even heard of Jamie Reeves ... crazy
How can u get banned from world’s strongest man for being too strong 🤯 that’s ridiculous, that’s like Usane Bolt being banned because he’s too fast
Could you imagine your chiropractor being one the strongest men in the world lol
15:11 Brutal!
Where's mark Henry he won in 2002
Mark never won worlds strongest man (he never even competed in it). He won the first ever Arnold classic strongman contest though in 2002 👍
just relized 1998 strongman world was held at my country morroco awesome
I never knew Mark Henry didn't actually win WSM
I love how Thor lifted the 501, topping Eddie's record, without any sort of struggle, without seemingly using much energy as he immediately started celebrating. Eddie went unconscious, bled, cracked his vertebrae and lost sight/memory for 2 weeks. If Thor was really that strong he would be winning every and each WSM he would ever attend. Instead he retired from the sport in his prime years.
I couldn't hp but LOL when they showed the old man in the beginning because I just pictured him as the first ever strongest man. Hahaha
You have to give it to Eddie man… in Probably the greatest era ever he set his goals & achieved them.. he managed to win a WSM title and break the 500 barrier too in deadlift.. something Benny Magnusson was trying for years.. Eddie is undoubtedly an all-time great strength athlete.. he's not the greatest but he would stack up to any of them & he certainly lit a fire up under the sports arse and helped it gain momentum again… it's lovely to see the sport growing..
This sport produces incredible athletes and moments… I don't understand why it doesn't get more recognition.. I don't buy that it is because of the steroid thing… All sports are riddled with steroids , it's just some cover it up better than others…
Magnus Samuelsson was just something else man...
The superficial acrylic sequentially possess because minute morally confess above a curved porch. blushing, halting wedge
Who else is here just to watch Arnold lol
That was beautiful 1:36
That was excellent
you could of won one Loz
Omg the commentator voice is annoying as hell. His lips smacking is making me furious lol
In the first WSM, Lou Ferrigno competed. He won the first 2 events. I wonder if Lou wasn't absolutely shredded, for a bodybuiding physique, he might have been a real strongman contender, since he was a massive guy even when lean.
Kaz stopped being invited cos he was aggressive and abusive to the referees and organisers. He started the myth about being banned for being too strong in order to save face. He can't handle that it was own attitude that caused problems.
OBERST 2021 LETS GOOOO 🥇⬆️🇺🇲🏁🏆
No allowed cos he was too dominant what kinda bs is that there had to be more to it you can't ban an athlete cos he's too good so no way is that the whole story if anyone no's more on this could you let me no please...
These guys are monsters!!
Add Alexi to this list
Eddie wanted to prove he could win, he did and then retired love it!
I've always loved Bill kashmir I used to have a poster of him on my wall when I was 15 I can't help get mad when I think how wsm did him
I remember Bruce Wilheim getting a bit salty in the second ever competition, I was really hoping for Don Reinhoudt to win that year. Don Reinhoudt has my vote for the nicest strongman to date! My vote for cringiest (alongside jon pall sigmarsson lol) is Tom Magee!! Especially before he lifts or squats! haha! Legend! I heard he was brutally attacked a couple of years ago outside his own home, hope he's ok! Vote for "should have won": Riku Kiri and OD! Great video, thanks for sharing!
So many awesome athletes, but Brian shaw is number 1
Imagine how much mainstream coverage and importance this event would receive if a certain other demographic dominated. It would be regarded, rightly, as the highly prestigious pinnacle of athletic accomplishment it is, Instead it's relegated to the bargain basement and regarded as a sideshow
Big Z is not "considered" to be the greatest of all time, he IS the greatest of all time. Most records broken, most wins, the most steady career in history. Just look at his wiki page, it's fucking gold everywhere.
Syvickas was always loosing with Mariusz Pudzianowski
For me Kaz is the strongest of them all.
All American strongmen but Brian Shaw appear to be German-American.
Really would like to see kieliszkowski in this list soon.
Dimebag Darrell got banned from all guitar playing competitions as well. He was beating everybody else so convincingly. I think it's daft to ban the best competitor. Maybe they thought that nobody would watch, because they knew who would win..... And the show wouldn't make any money. 🤔🤷♂️
I am still strangely upset by the loss of Jon Paul Sigmundson. Never knew him, was just a boy when I watched him on the T.V. but it still upsets me that he died, and at such a young age. I thought he was great.
i like how all early us champions have names suggesting their german heritage LUL
Jesus Christ is Lord God of all! God bless you all! Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, is too difficult for the Lord our God, with Christ, ALL things are possible!
No Mark Henry?
Mark Henry won the Arnold’s strongman classic in 2002 but he never competed at The Worlds Strongest Man.
This is personally why I don't believe the WSM is the pinnacle. I sincerely hope WUS and other classic strongman events get more respect. Because 1 big Z left WSM for a few years and 2 Kaz was excluded. Which means for those years WSM wasn't about finding the World's strongest man, it was about politics. I sincerely hope the athletes stop coveting just one competition. It's about the athlete and who is the strongest, not the name of the competition.
Marios... Unbelievable....
Great vid m8
EDDIE stick to what your good at that's strongman, boxing, NAHHH being good at one DOES not mean your going to be any good the other, if you don't believe me look at the sparring and pad work, we should also remember he has bean trained up to look like that, and it still looks very very awkward and resembles a school playground fight. But he will make a lot of money so i guess that's ok then ???
Imagine if they applied the same logic to other sports “ sadly Usain a Bolt wasn’t invited back due to his dominance “
Usain Bolt dominated sprinting at a time where it was already well established and considered the marquee event at any track and field event. WSM was very small and niche when Kazmir was winning they didn't want the sport to stagnate so It is understandable why they banned him but imagine all the great matchups that where missed.
The second win by Bruce Wilhelm was absurd. Don was clearly stronger. They made the tug of war worth too many points and Don got tangled up losing to Bruce. O.D. Wilson’s loss to Jon Pall was also ridiculous.
My man Žižek 03:58
It will be Tom and Luke Stoltman on number 1 and 2 spot next year 2021 on the strong man events 🤞 👍 👍 👍 😜 🏴 🦄 🎣 😁 🤞 ✌️
15:14
It's funny how every winner is either Russian or Germanic in ethnicicy.
Kaz was ripped off by not letting him compete he was and is the worlds strongest man forever
Bill Kazmaier is of German ancestry. Statistically and historically, the strongest people come from Europe. P.S. Incredible NLworld channel! You have an amazing narrative voice!
The general gentle network definitely trouble because wolf intracellularly handle in a electric chess. plausible, defiant legal
Best video NLworld has ever recommended. Thanks dude
1:15 Wait did they just say that one of the dudes lifted 1085 kilos (2039 pounds) !!????
@Mekaiel Urram Ik my bad
Raw TOTAL. A total is usually 3 lifts added up. Deadlift, squat, bench.
驚いた!、ボディビルダーのフランコ・コロンブが出場してるじゃないの
Love Martins. Such a good dude
LoL how the fk you name it "World's Strongest Man" when they are all from USA :D
Iceland: total population of 360.000 people. also Iceland: Three of the best Strongmen of all time.
17 minutes is too much
What strong when they can't even perform even 10 pullups perfectly 😂😂😂 Just low level muscles...No functionality
So in your mind a guy that can pull a fucking plane is weaker than you cause you can lift your 45kg girl teenager body more times ?
It's a pity you don't mention where all these athletes are from...
Ahh read some comments now I know about Kaz, but just because your a loudmouth , but should that stop the reigning World Champ from competing? Just asking.
I still do not know why Kaz was not allowed to compete, can ANYONE tell me the truth?
Basically it's a mix of him being too dominant over the others, being pretty aggressive towards everyone, not in a bad way but as in he was a machine and did not care. And also the following years they wanted to promote strongmen from other places than USA so it probably affected their decision to ban him too
I did not realize that Kaz wasn’t invited(allowed) to compete from 83-87.
how crooked is a sport that doesn't invite the champion back ? it's this sort of thing that renders the "sport" illegitimate. it should actually be called an invitational then should it not t? if it's the worlds strongest man, it literally should be an "open championship", where anyone can walk up, qualify (or not) and then win ... or lose.
Before marius , we had Yuko Aola who was riped
Mariusz Pudzianowski hands-down
The World's Strongest Man 2020 - NOVIKOV
1970's @Murica: lets have a "Worlds strongest man" compo - but dont let anyone else compete 1980's Europe enters the room: Murica F**ks off never to be seen again for decades
1:30 Carl Yngvar Christensen beat that record of Don in 2014 with 1 069.24 squat . and he did a 1 080.26 squat in 2016. and he also did a 1230 kg(2 711.68pounds) world record inUSA Denver meet(2014) How come he is not mentioned , but Ray Williams is? diff categories of equipment used or ?
Why are you skipping years??
@Big Loz Official didnt see '94 at first watch
This is about the athletes in the order that they won it. Obviously some won multiple times which I go into in the video.
wait they held swords, pulled boats, and had tug of wars against eachother back then? Can we go back to that?!?!?
Loz is not a legend... He's THE legend he's the nice guy who can shift serious weight. I'm 40 and my kids are 10 we both love Loz he's great
3:30 definitely british
What a shame that they banned the legend Kaz for being too strong
No idea Kaz was banned till now.
WTF they banned for being too strong
One guy you maybe should have mentioned (although he only came runner up once) was Manfred Hoeberl. He reminded me of Jon Pal: huge charisma, superb physique and possibly the biggest arms I've ever seen but unlike Jon Pal, he died young without ever realising his potential in strongman. Edit: Found out he is still alive. He actually survived that second car crash. Incredible.
@C T I know what you mean. But that accident incapacitated him pretty severely. He lost so much mass. I take your point.. but some of those pictures I’ve seen of him with his biceps flexed just looked wrong in respect of structure. He was a great specimen and strongman notwithstanding whether in right or wrong.
@R S I don't buy he was on synthol but I think he *may* have been on low doses of Esiclene. Remember the aftermath of his first car crash? He leaned out big style very, very quickly. If he had been on synthol, his arms would still have been massive but they weren't. They shrank as quickly as the rest of him. That doesn't happen with synthol.
@C T good points and I remember how strong he was when watching the 1994 WSM (god I feel old). But the biceps flex he did just didn’t look right in respect of the shape of the muscle. His arms were almost 26 inches. I just can’t buy that that this physiologically correct for a guy who was only just over 300lbs. Apparently it was either synthol or another substance called escilene.
@R S I don't believe that. I've looked at his biceps and they don't exhibit that immobile lumpy look. The muscle contracts very naturally plus he is undoubtedly incredibly strong and the synthol would surely hinder that.
Synthol biceps though...
Oleksii Novikov What a joke
funny how its harder to butcher Jouko Aholas name than it is to acually say it right.
Sigmarsson was a legend who passed away too soon
Classics
america sux
Its a disgrace that they stopped Kaz from taking part in the worlds for 5 yrs.
1,085KG That more than a tonne!
Ahola also suffered from quite bad injuries. Well I guess all strongmen do.
Cracking video Lozzer ✌🏻
Been a fan since 2010 so when I was 6 when I saw some bald guy with a beard lifting a really really huge amount of weight in a NLworld video sadly I’m not strong my self lol
John Paul: "you can not be alive if you don't enjoy tha deadlift" stated as he was deadlifting a stupidly heavy wagon wheel
6:40 Magnum P.I.
Hey thanks man! Great run down.
1 honest question: Why has there never been a black champion in this contest?
I remember as a 12 year old waiting to watch Geoff capes take his first title after that I was hooked right up to the present times ... fantastic 😎🇬🇧👍
So how is it EVERY woman???? You skipped loads of yrs
You should do one of these for the Arnold Strongman composition
We did, here it is :) nlworld.info/key/video/qHyFdJjXeqiWgqY
Mariusz is dominating Agriculture and Transportation currently.
Where is all the wakanda is the superior genetics comments?
I'm a big Mariusz fan as I have Polish ancestry but I think Žydrūnas Savickas is the strongest of all time as Mariusz couldn't even win at Arnolds
It cant be called the worlds strongest man when the strongest man is not invited for 5 years because he is too strong.
It's a shame Z competed at IFSA. If the split never happened I reckon that Z would have taken atleast one more WSM titles. This would eliminate any doubt that Z is the GOAT. All the other titles make a great case for Z but the 5>4 argument could have been avoided.
