FFS, just finish at least one of the pieces you start, PLEASE
Love, him. Thank you so much for this. Love from Bolivia. ♥
Utter brilliance
10:52 Tchaikovsky does Aha/Take On Me
He forgot to mention the Yamaha DX7 Tine sound for 1985.
like me, like me , like me , like me, I'm the major key!
"And Alberti, as you know..." I think it's his accent that throws me when he drops deep cut knowledge so readily. I expect that in the voice of Stephen Fry: "Oh yes, well, as you know..." He's got just enough rural/West Country in his voice that it sounds rustic enough that... the cognitive dissonance is strong. Or maybe it's just me.
How long will you be waiting?
brings a tear when serious.
I would love to see him as Tom Bombadil.
Your 'hold music' does for you what EVERYTHING from the so-called composer Einaudi does for me. His stuff starts in the middle, goes on for ages, stops in the middle again for a reprise, re-starts and then finally ends, STILL in the middle. What utter tosh.
They should do great British bake off for music ...and have him be the judge
Brilliant!👌🤘✌💖💜🙏
I think Alberti is your soul mate
What a complex and masterful musician he turns out to be!
11:08 sums up the whole video.
That piano sounds awful, soulless
He,s just a cool dude
The Alberti bass: Aristocats flash-back!
I didn't know Bill Baily is such an acclompished musician/pianist. I see him on bbc just talkin comical funny stuff in several programmes on BBC.
Fur Elise a Bavarian milking song! Hilarious. At least now we know what Elise did for a living.
Can he play without pulling a funny face? 😂
Bill do you remember playing clwb Ifor Bach in Cardiff in 1992? Ha ha thought not... You played my double bass back stage ! You're a great guy I'll never forget it.
Bill, I've been privy to computerised harpsichord hold music. Torture.
9:16 I disagree with the sound of London ... way too jazzy .. that's more like a city in America. But the rest is genius!
1:38 pure genius!
i luv how BB brings the language of music to people. By its definition language is what unifies people. Music is such a wonderful & powerful unifier
LOL BOSS level in super mario
Brilliant - except - A minor is not the shadow of C major, it's much more a major that has tried, failed and wants to go to bed, it's a disapointed C major.
Why are Bill, Steven Fry and the QI Gang, Sandi too actually hilarious and the myriad of so called comedians polluting the airwaves being praised for their ABSOLUTE drivel. When they ARE NOT, boy am I glad I grew up listening to Hancock, the Two Ronnies and BBC RADIO SHOWS. NOW THEY WERE COMIC GEMS, not PC or Woke, whatever that is.
Most beautiful melody: Moon River
Why doesn’t Bill cut his hair at the back it makes him look 80 years old
So talented!
Very clever guy i love his music side
I will agree 100% over the rainbow has got to be my favourite melody, too! this guy is an enigma. I aspire to be a diamond in the rough like Bill too!!
What a talented, lovely man he seems to be.
On hold music .lol someone banks with HSBC.
Ah, this is great! I've done a bit of composing and I keep coming back to A minor too. Those major chords are so cheesy and goody-goody.
The man's a genius. He can flippin' dance too!
Why would you go to this effort and then clip the piano audio?
I asked my wife if she knew who this guy is. She said "bloke from starwars?"
Imagine if you were on hold for so long you started out with harpsichord, about two hundred years ago.. you would be glad to hear a piano then.
So talented! Not that he needs me to tell him. I love to go to a Jazz Concert with Bill Bailey playing. 😎
Was Alberti a cockney? Just needs a dee-dur-dur-dee-doo! at the start.
Bills favorite note is the opening note to the Logan soundtrack.
Loved him in Black Books.
If my life was a piece of music ? How about the nutcracker suite ? :)
Hes so fast with music and comedy its incredible
A genius - wrapped up in the hairy shell of a gormless savant. Got to love him.
Thèse aren't really random are they? They're just music questions
That was brilliant! Bravo Bill. I could be mesmerised by your musical knowledge all the time.
is Bill the most frightfully intelligent person you have ever seen , and he plays nice music ...
This man is officially a National Treasure.
Ah, Boda, my brother.
Just discovered him yesternight and now his face on thumbnail is a click bait for me
Too many ads
Bill's Idea of London fitted in the 1950s to the 1990s, but london is less a frenetic West End and Commercial City now, it has splayed out to the stinklands of urban essex to instead of being fed its essentials from the east it is striving to sliently with cables and data to eat the east side of london, and chill more in the west end though that place is infected with tourists and visitors and chinese students to the universities in london, less bright, more gridlocked in people with no collective aim.
I love this interview, every answer is spot on, and how incredible as to what depths his insight can plunge to on all subjects! Why then does his 'the sound of London' sound exactly like what New York should sound like?
Why the f_ck had he decided to do Strictly Come Dancing? Credibility = -11 now.
Love BB. He is a total genius!
Bills a very clever man, to keep all that in your head, very very clever............
A duo of Bill and Benjamin Zander would be music learning heaven
Take the high road hill street blues...
He is so smart. Always loved him. Also thanks for ruining the Fur Elise for me, I will forever picture a German milking a cow.
Q - What your favourite note ? A - a £50 note
8:20 camera man laughing
I have had the privilege of seeing Bill Bailey live at the concert hall in Perth Western Australian. He was absolutely brilliant! A fantastic multi instrumentalist, and utterly hilarious to boot. A wonderful night, never to be forgotten.
what a lovely brilliant man
A polymath of talent.
2:00 Eyes wide shut
You knoiw you're dealing with a musical genius when his reaction to boring hold music is to effortlessley transpose it to a more interesting key
That bald man with the hair.
Bill should do a stint with Rick Beato
Bill Bailey is an international treasure. Just one of those irreverent geniuses that comes along every now and again.
I think all interviews should be interspersed with piano like this. Love this guy
I never knew Manny is musician!
Now play this video again but this time watch only Bill's reflection in the top of the piano in the straight on shots. Bizzaro Bill 😈😂🤣
Funny that this video is literally just about... the only video on here over 1k views. 665k!
I think that it is hilarious that the intervals have elevator waiting music during this clip.
What make and model of electronic piano is he playing here? Can anyone tell me?
Met bill a very long time ago. He's a musical genius, and an avid nature fan. I love the guy... an if you don't well. I feel sorry for you
As my ten year old son said, "Bill Bailey makes music hilarious"
I could listen to someone doing this all day.. I need to marry a pianist........... Theres probably a joke in there.
ya gotta luv bill bailey XD
How can one man be so gob-smackingly talented.
Manny!
London played as a Gershwiny New York vibe but much hipper, cool. I can dig that. The bustle of New York leaves little room for warmth.
Looks very Klingon these days but passionate about music not war
Suspension? Did he mean suspense?
He looks like Billy Joel all of a sudden.
Bach was undeniably the greatest composer in history, but Mozart was undeniably the one with the most natural talent. Mozart was unfortunate in the sense that he outshone any teacher he had, and could thus never reach his full potential.
FavoUrite!!!
Billy Joel's long lost twin brother. Hated to do it apparently but soldiered on anyway. Hero.
Please do more
He very much answered those questions with words. Those were words. There was just music in the room when he did it.
This. Is. BRILIANT!
He looks really bad for 55 :/
Bro, he's 88. He looks amazing for his age.
i wish hed do philosophy lectures
What a talent and wit! I've enjoyed everything I've seen or heard him do.
i dont know if i want to be Bill Bailey or be with Bill Bailey.
