What did you think of yesterday's action at the Tour of Flanders? Let us know 👇
@reejce He can potentially kill or hurt a sprinter, but he can't take racist remarks on the internet? He can dish it, but can't take it.
@Simon Julius i will try it out right now. Seems great so far.
Dunno if anyone cares but last night I hacked my gfs Instagram account using InstaPwn. Find it on google if you care
It was excellent especially the surprise sprint win by Asgreen. Was super impressed by him in E3 and glad to see him earn even more glory.
Think you should apologise to Nacer Bouhanni & delete your content that is trending and trashing his name. Shame on you GCN and Dan Lloyd...
a pro race, a fan or marshal would pick the bottle up as you say. I watched live yesterday. Great coverage guys and great commentary Dan. Very well done.
Top 5 in the World.. This isn't even mentioning the draw Sagan pulls fan base wise. What a ridiculous comment to make about him by the manager!
degrading the art of Pro-Cycling.
Learnt? Hahahahahaha!
Quickstep is phenomenal in classic racing!
Sooo disappointed that after a few weeks of awesome racing you have now stopped showing races in Australia! Any plans to change this? I only just signed up

One of the reasons for going to races is to get a bidon @uci wake up you need us fans.
big ask for the fans.
Me as huge fan of Mathieu van der poel, i have to say 1 thing. Its because they talk, what i do understand always about the "big 3" Van Aert, Alaphilipe, Van der poel. In my opinion slowly we can speak about the big 4. With the succes Kasper Asgreen already have this season?.

a souvenir from their favorite pros.
If the super tuck is now banned, are dropper posts now also banned?
It's 'learned' here you guys. Here have a cookie
Sagan's giro stage win last year was insane, he's far from done
potential ROI.
world tour teams are funded at least in part from oil and natural gas money.
It's been difficult finding a replay of the Flanders race. Thanks for the insightful commentary as always. ;-) Here is how we roll in Delta BC Easter long weekend nlworld.info/key/video/1pBjatOWcICmn3g
Supertuck 2013 - 2021, huh. Some of my teammates have been doing since 2007.
Gotta admit I was pretty bummed when Mr. Lloyd pegged Asgreen for the winner, since we all know his predictions. But Dan put us all to shame !!

again, then he might be able to do it 🤯
Danish talent Are just in a league of their own
@nijuo joing i know
It was actullie the number 2 time only that a danish rider Won the flanders( and btw im danish and I like ur videos really much;)
The UCI should focus on the important; Making the sport even less attractive for fans should not be one of them. Gently offering a bidon for a fan to pick-up is a sign of empathy in a world of sports dominated by natural aggression. The new UCI rules (supertuck, puppy paws and bidons) seem to suggest the UCI has become less relevant while degrading the art of Pro-Cycling.
Water bottles given everything going on right now should not be thrown around
Sooo disappointed that after a few weeks of awesome racing you have now stopped showing races in Australia! Any plans to change this? I only just signed up
Fans love rider treasures. The UCI is out of their minds as are the race organizers.
The riders should add a new rule concerning themself by any dangerous move of a car or motorcycle that could harm the riders, all teams retiring from the race so the UCI should get on the bike and ride the remaining km to fill in the lost screen time on every channel where it's on!! If the UCI sees some humans as for trees as in "open nature" they really are overruled...
Would the world's TV telecasters please find a way to interview riders without masks. Tennis and may other sports interview the competitors with a table of microphones with journalists a distance away. It's good to see GCM/Eurosport using a boom to socially distance but would be even better to hear the riders clearly and without a mask. Surely not a big ask for the fans.

World Cycling yet another cowardly sporting organisation caving into quirky minorities? #weakaspiss
Cycling news aside, do I spy a Rocket Appartamento there on the shelf behind ya?
Sagan's giro stage win last year was insane, he's far from done
Yes let's disqualify our riders for littering. Nevermind all the energy is used for transporting the world tour from country to country. And let's also gloss over that at least 4 of the world tour teams are funded at least in part from oil and natural gas money.
Hi everyone, firstly: it's amazing to be able to watch all races with GCN, absolutely love it and thank you! Secondly: the littering question is an issue and one that is to be reviewed by UCI for sure. And thirdly: what about Trek Segafredo - I haven't heard any comments about that team. Given the recent results they must be utterly disappointed by a 4th place finish without much of contribution throughout the race. Thoughts?
Supertuck 2013 - 2021, huh. Some of my teammates have been doing since 2007.
I saw the supertuck in the 90s
With the new rules, who will be the first big name DQ'd in a race this year? Alaphilippe is my first thought.
Kasper Asgreen will win the Worlds in Flanderns later this year 😉 And then win Paris-Roubaix in the Jersey in October 😉 I know I’m daydreaming, but if he can hit that form again, then he might be able to do it 🤯
It was actullie the number 2 time only that a danish rider Won the flanders( and btw im danish and I like ur videos really much;)
@GCN Racing but Rolf Sørensen was the first danish man to win flanders and the K.asgreen
@GCN Racing i cant remember but I love ur videos🥰 and im only 12 and my friend julius got me in to the sport and absolutely loves it!!!
Yes, Rolf Sorensen. I don't think I said it was the first Danish win? Dan
Water bottles given everything going on right now should not be thrown around
The thing about common sense Dan, it’s not that common. A year dealing with Covid has taught us all this. Unfortunately
The UCI 'have a bit of common sense?!' Fat chance. I loved the commentary late in the race when both Van der Poel and Asgreen tossed bottles to spectators in the final 10 km. So basically UCI says 'throw out the domestiques and let the top guys slide'. What a load of crap. The UCI needs a house cleaning and the rules need to be streamlined.
When Asgreen and Mvp dropped bottles it was in a littering zone where it is allowed.
WRT to “bottlegate”, the UCI needs to remember that cycling is a spectator sport. Safe and constructive interaction between the pros and fans should always be encouraged
Disappointed there wasn't a comment on Bouhanni being racially abused on social media, maybe it kicked off after this was made. Will check the show today to see if it's mentioned.
Yes, we recorded it all on Sunday whilst we were all in the office so we could enjoy the Bank Holiday Monday off. Dan
If I was a bottle sponsor, I'd be livid with the UCI. Bottles finding their way into fans' homes is part of why any company is paying for that privilege, and the UCI have blocked off potential ROI.
I was just wondering watching you in this video and others. Are you a fan of Howard Cosell?
Mikaël Cherel gets ejected for tossing a bottle to the fans!?! The UCI has lost its way.
Valverde might be older than you but he has the er...hormone profile of a much younger man😂😂
I have been in the feed zone specially to grab bidons from the riders. Water bottles and a mussette are the best souvenirs from bike races. The most exciting is a kid receiving one from a rider on the road. Come on UCI that’s the stuff that makes cycling such a great sport!
Is it me or does Grace Brown have a button on the inside of her left bar (like that one ride that had a motor inside her bike with the same thing)? PS can be wrong, 😅
I learnt that Connor is the top tipster.
I think all of the riders on all teams should do the super tuck in every race .... they are pro riders Real adults are FED UP WITH ALL OF THESE ‘GRANNY KNOW IT ALL WHO TELL EVERYONE HOW TO LIVE!!
The Uci is fighting to have control that really isn’t theirs... RIDICULOUS IS RIGHT ...MAYBE WE SHOULD GET RID OF THE UCI!!!
Listen, I know you people invented the language, but there is no such word as learnt. It's learned. 7 things we learned. ffs

How about we ban UCI!
Will GCN Racing be showing Tro Bro Leon this year? Late season gravel race UCI
Yep!
Hang on, I thought it was Chris Froome that made the 'Supertuck' famous? Was Mohoric before this then?
To think, if only MVP hadn't pulled through at all when he was in the initial break and let QS do all the work. Seriously 4 QS riders and for some reason the riders with no other teammates in the break pull through? It was almost an exact repeat of E3....both him and Wout screwed themselves. Jumbo was a joke. Wout ended up isolated because they decided to chase down every attack in the first half of the race. By the time the real attacks started he had no riders left and had to make the jump himself. Ends up pulling through instead of letting DQS do the work like I said above for absolutely no reason. He flats and ends up back with the main group around 50k and instead of letting his team calmly but swiftly closing the (only) 2 minute gap until about 30k he just attacks again and ends up in no man's land. Jumbo and Wout need to learn how to work like a team.
Ian Stannard threw a Team Sky bottle to me at the 2016 Tour Of Britain and even at my adult age, I was thriilled to get it! while visiting the UK My son in law got a Team BMC bottle. We were standing in a rural area and I think they were showing their appreciation that we would be there to see them ride by. It only promotes the sport, their sponsors and the riders earn new fans. UCI should be promoting that kind of interaction with the fans and not DQing a rider for an obviously good deed.
just take a look when van Vleuten trow's her bidon to the side of the road, after that jou will see a kid sprint for life to it
Picked up a pearl of wisdom from Dan's race commentary "Training miles are not the same as racing kilometres" Classic Dan
An old coach once said to me 'Son, don't train to race, race to train'
With the bottle disqualification, don't forget we have a global pandemic going on
Excuse me? Hats off to Jumbo-Visma? Didn't they all drop at Molenberg with 90k to go and wasn't Nathan Van Hooydonck the first Jumbo rider after Van Aert coming in 62nd at 9 minutes? That's about the equivalent of WvA letting roll before the first big climb in Tour de France.
You guys should really get Chris Horner to comment for you. Very good analysis. Especially if your trying to appeal to US audiences. He’s great!
MvdP is riding a few MTB WC for good placement in Olympics first. His dad said this morning "The boring part of the season is over" lol
Whats the deal with the lucky tour winner from a couple years ago
Mvp Lost to asgreen fair and square. the best man won, please acknowledge that and stop saying what if👌🏽
The discretional part of the rule was not applied. I’d DQ the judge that took the decision.
The UCI is an ABSOLUTE JOKE.
UCI =/= common sense
Unless I was seeing things, I'm fairly certain that Kasper and MVDP both threw bottles from their bikes coming into the final few Km's... discretion shown by the UCI on these occasions? How does that work?
I agree with Dan's balanced comment on the bidon toss to a fan and enjoyed the nod to Jeremy Clarkson ("And on that bombshell..").
UCI DQ'd a rider for _"putting on the brakes"?_ GTFOH
Way to go ending on that bombshell! Absolutely loved it .. reminiscent of Clarkson's Top Gear ending.
_"He's older than [Dan]!"_ - Is he a Pensioner?
UCI should be replaced as the 'governing' body of pro cycling. Well past time for them to be ousted for the wet blanket tyrants they are...also take Anthony Mcrossen too - he sucks harder than a Dyson vaccuum at commentating races.
Cheers Dan! I appreciate your commentary
Even if Sagan's best days are behind him.. all time greats are all time greats.. he's already won a Stage early in his prep despite being extremely underdone And his best is still Top 5 in the World.. This isn't even mentioning the draw Sagan pulls fan base wise. What a ridiculous comment to make about him by the manager!
Both Asgreen and MVP should have been pulled for littering before their final sprint. Not really, but they did toss their bottles. No looking the other way just because a stupid rule can blow up the race.
it was inside a dropzone they dropped their bottles.
Penalizing the cyclist for giving the bottle to the little boy is over the top.
Anyone who can’t watch a race in your country, don’t forget free vpn apps . Just change your location to Europe or wherever.
Annemiek van vleuten also tossed a bidon about 40km to go outside of a green zone and was not penalised and shouldn't be.. Imagine the reaction if she was. Uci needs too pull their heads out.
The cycling industry spends a lot of energy trying to get younger riders into the sport. Don’t ruin it by not allowing pros to inspire young people.
Hey boss Dan who said that? He should need a 🤜 on the🦲 for that comment. And if it is a she... a 😗in the butt...I think those riders should beforehand show a sign like raising their hand above that they want to give their water bottle or bidon to the crowd as against throwing it haphazardly to the crowd.
where did the first plant based athlete finish in this race??
Cheers Dan , hope you had a Bos Kuen for Easter!
The super tuck invented in 2013 ?? Nah. I've heard one ex-pro rider comment they were doing it at least a decade before that.
IT SHOULD BE FOREVER FORBIDDEN FOR RIDDERS TO THROW A BOTTLE..IT IS LITTERING. EVEN IF THROWING TO FANS...SURE YOU COULD GIVE A BOTTLE TO A FAN BUT NOT THROW....
GCN > VELO NEWS. Has been for ages . Chapeau Dan, Si et al! Look how far you've come in so short a time. Just checked with Google, could not find the VN live streaming race or documentary channel. Forza you lot!
Hey. Flanders was great. Can’t believe VDP lost the sprint! Also Animieke is my fav - so very happy. She’s amazing. How fast do you think she was riding in her last 3kms?
Asgreen is part of quicksteps leadout
In 2012, I went on a dream vacation to watch 4 stages of the Tour in the Alps. Tibau Pino threw me a water bottle on a steep climb. I cherish that bottle. I keep it on my mantel in my living room. It is constant reminder of an amazing adventure to see the pros at the top of their game. Don't take away this tradition. Adults and kids alike love the excitement of a souvenir from their favorite pros.
It was a good race. Quickstep always is willing to let their big name set in and send a teammate who is strong down the road. We have seen it time and again. They are very cunning and also always very strong. Bravo. I agree with Chris Horner when he said Jumbo Visma burned itself out chasing everything and then Waut was isolated. That was nonsense for the DQ for the bottle. The fans are important to cycling. When I think of all the years they went along throwing all kinds of trash to the winds, now they DQ this guy? Nonsense. I enjoy your videos. Thanks. Pete
Hi GCN, I understand territorial broadcast rights for races but they do not apply to the pre or post race analysis. Is it possible to provide these as stand alone programs on GCN+, even if it means a re-edit to remove video if that is a sticking point? Thanks too for your commitment to covering all aspects of the sport.
That was a total disaster! How better to promote our sport. Shame on the officials.
Re giving bidons to kid spectators usually I would agree but in a Covid world do we really want to encourage this even if the riders have been regularly tested and are in a bubble? Surely it sends out some bad messages about cross contamination and protecting one another
A gift to a child is not liter, it is a gift. There is a spirit of the law and the letter of the law. Only the corrupt or incompetent follow the later.
In the Tour of Flanders, with 2.3km to go MVP throws a bottle and then Asgreen does likewise. Carlton Kirby commented on this at the time. So UCI, explain why GVA isn't the winner.
If I remember rightly, it was in one of the designated litter zones
Sorry Daniel, but a major disagreement. We are in the age of COVID. How can the bottle discussion occur without its mention? It's an oversight in your mention of the incident, and obviously the reason for the bottle-discard ban. The expected response is "but the riders are tested..." The UCI simply cannot take the chance. It's not about littering.
thanks
maybe they DQ'd him for the bottle because of the 'rona?
GCN without Dan Lloyd is...unthinkable. It just wouldn't be the GCN show without you, Dan.
@Michael Aucoin Lol!
Dan’s mother is a lemur, who knew...?
Dan does a great job on his videos. I enjoy him on the races I get to see.
Thankfully for Dan, your best presenting years are ahead of you because unlike sports, in presenting you get better with experience and age. Have a beer on me, on that note.
👍
Picked up a bottle at the Tour Of Rhodes (UCI European Tour event) yesterday...so I obviously now need to report the rider and have him banned for life?? 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ UCI just wasting everyone’s time again
where was the UCI looking when MVDP and Asgreen tossed bottles in the last few km's? No spectators there...
